Crochet Pattern: Granny square with bold square design

12 inch square. Very easy, nice with any colors or a single color.

Round 2: Ch 1, sc in same st, sc in next 2 dc, (5 sc in next ch 3 loop, sc in next 3 dc) 3 times, 5 sc in next ch 3 loop, join in BLO of 1st sc.

Round 3: In BLO for this round, ch 3, dc in next 3 sc, ch 1, skip next sc, [*(2dc, ch 2, 2dc) in next sc (corner made), ch 1, skip next sc*, dc in next 5 sc] 3 times, and * to * once more, dc next sc, join to 3rd ch of beg ch 3.

Round 4: Ch 1, sc in same st, sc in next 3 dc, sc next sp, sc next 2 dc, [*3 sc in ch 2 loop corner, sc in next 2 dc, sc next sp*, sc next 5 dc, sc next sp, sc next 2 dc] three times, and * to * once more, sc in next dc, join to 1st sc in BLO, finish off.
