Instructions:
Ch 4, join to form a loop.
Round 1: Ch 3, 11 dc in loop, join to 3rd ch of beg ch 3.
Round 2: Ch 4, (dc, ch 1) in each dc around, join to 3rd ch of beg ch 4.
Round 3: Sl st to ch 1 sp, ch 1, (sc, ch 3) in each ch 1 sp around, join to 1st sc.
Round 4: Sl st in next loop, (ch 4, trc, ch 3, 2trc) in loop, [*2dc in next loop, hdc in next sc, 2dc in next loop, * (2trc, ch 3, 2trc) in next loop] 3 times and * to * once more, join to 4th ch of beg ch 4.
Round 5: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, (trc, ch 1) 6 times and trc in next corner loop, [*skip trc, sc in next trc, skip next 2 dc, 5 dc in hdc, skip 2 dc*, sc in next trc, (trc, ch 1) 6 times and trc in corner loop] 3 times and * to * once more, join to 1st sc.
Round 6: Ch 8, sc in 4th trc, ch 5, sc in same trc, [(ch 5, dc in next sc) 2 times, ch 5, (sc, ch 5, sc) in 4th trc of corner] 3 times, ch 5, join to 3rd ch of beg ch 8.
Round 7: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, 7 sc in loop, [*5sc in corner loop, 7 sc in next loop, sc in next dc, 7 sc in next loop*, sc in next dc, 7 sc In next loop] 3 times and * to * once more, join to 1st sc.
Round 8: Ch 3, dc in each sc around and (2dc, ch 3, 2dc) in each 3rd sc of corner. Finish off.
For 12 inch square, do not finish off round 8 and do the following…
Round 9: Sl st to corner, (ch 3, 2dc, ch 3, 3dc) in corner, [*(ch 1, skip next 3 dc, 3 dc in next dc) 7 times, ch 1* (3dc, ch 3, 3dc) in next corner loop] 3 times and * to * once more, join to 4th ch of beg ch 3.
Round 10: Sl st to corner, (ch 3, 2dc, ch 3, 3dc) in corner, [*(ch 1, skip next 3 dc, 3 dc in next ch 1 sp) 8 times, ch 1* (3dc, ch 3, 3dc) in next corner loop] 3 times and * to * once more, join to 4th ch of beg ch 3.
